Here are what I consider the top ten reasons that PC gaming is not dead. In no particular order.

Starcraft 2:

Blizzard’s Realtime strategy returns and plans on showing us why it is the best at what it does

Empire: Total War

If you have enjoyed the Total War Series then you will understand why this has made the list. But if you don’t here is a link that will help get you up to speed on this great strategy game Empire: Total War

Demigod

Gas Powered Games has long been a developer that pushes the boundary of traditional games and this game is no different this highbred Action RPG/RTS so if you don’t believe me check out Demigod here

Guitar Rising

Feel like the PC has been left out to dry on music games? Well I have to say that for the most part it has but that is all going to change with Guitar Rising. Here is the best part is that it really teaches you how to play!

Far Cry 2

Far Cry 2 the fallow up to the hit Far Cry what more can I say this game is made by Crytek the same developer that did the Ultra Realistic Crysis check out Far Cry 2 here

Battlefield Heroes

Battlefield Heroes is a free to play game that is made by Dice well worth looking at. And I love the artistic angle that they have taken

Savage II: Tortured Soul

Can we say Screw Boundaries? Yes we can! This ground breaking mmo/rpg/rts/fps is well there is only one word that I can say……. “Amazing” I have often thought that this would be cool but don’t take my word on it check out the Savage II video

Fallout 3

The Post-Atomic game returns and with what I would call the best developer Bethesda the people behind Oblivion have done some amazing things this title words cannot express how great this looks so you really need to see Fallout 3 for yourself

Project Origin

If you have not played F.E.A.R. then you have not lived this is the sequel to that terrifying game Project Origin takes what made F.E.A.R great and Amps it to the next level

Tom Clancy’s End War

Tom Clancy has long been a name associated with great games from his Ghost Recon series to the adventures of the stealthy Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell. And from that track record I would say that it is safe to say that End War is going to be a hit and make a big splash in the RTS arena. And what is great is that it is the first game of its kind to ever have voice commands!!!

Honorable mentions:

Duke Nukem Forever ( If this really happens.)

Mass Effect

Quake Live

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Skys

Spore (Due to Popular demand.) :)

Crytek are not making Far Cry 2. They have nothing to do with it at all. They were only involved in Far Cry. After that, they couldnt use the name anymore, so they made Crysis. All the following Far Cry games have been shit.

And it should say “follow”, not “fallow”.

Add everything Valve ever makes to that list. Yes I’m aware the orange box was released for x-box but it all honesty is sucks on the system. No user content and waaay slower gameplay.

Thanks for pointing that out I will fix my typo. And you are right Crytek is not involved. My bad, but in opinion it still looks like a great game.

George thanks for the comments but just to let you know i was kinda aiming the list at new games not so much on addons :)

There are lot of games coming in PC. I must say that for me, PC is still the best gaming platform…

    Paul Says:

And how exactly would Spore be an addon? I’m with George. It’ll blow nearly everything on that list out of the water (’cept for SC2)

    Cybermage Says:

I was referring to “Wrath Of The Lich King” sorry for the misunderstanding.

I have giveth thineself Half-Life 2 for a reason, so cherish it, for it shall be but the foundation of a much larger greatness.

I’d give you a thumbs up, but you left spore off the list. Anybody who hasn’t been looking forward to spore so much it hurt, either doesn’t have a soul, or has been living under a rock for 3 years. As much as I’m looking forward to some of the stuff on this list, and expect some of the other stuff to be good for its genre (if you like that sorta thing) I’m gonna have to side with paul, and say spore kicks this list’s butt, but I’m gonna have to disagree with him, and include SC2 in the butt being kicked

im a pc gamer but i strongly disagree with fallout 3. as a devout fan, i was really excited to see it was finally getting made and had high hopes…then i learned about what bethesda was doing to one of my favorite series of all time. they turned it into oblivion with a fallout paint job. oblivion was a decent game (except for the main quest, which just sucked) but if they wanna make another oblivion, then do that. dont shit all over my favorite rpg since baldurs gate! based on what iv seen and read, they’re taking out everything that made the games so amazing, ignoring all the lore, and seem to be dumbing down and styling the game around what they think would sell better. just hearing fallout 3 makes me sick because its a game that had such amazing potential, but is being ruined by bethesda
