Well Its official! There will be a Prince of Persia Movie and it is currently slated for a spring 2009 release.

Here is a short video interview with the future director of the film: Mike Newell.

You heard right! Jarry Bruckheimer is producing this film! And just that fact gives me great confidence that this film could really work.

The details are scarce at best, but these are the rumors flying around at this point.

• The film is in pre-production currently.
• There are no actors casted at this time.
• There is a chance that the movie will become a trilogy.

My only fear is that the movie not be able to stand up to the great game that it is based off (like most video game to movie translations)

And lets pray we get a good actor to play the Prince.
